Pay My Billy _ Pay Bills, Get Paid

Protect your bill, identity and money

A bill image can expose your name, address, account number, QR/barcode, provider, amount and due date. A demo or social post is not a secure place to publish sensitive details. This microsite cannot accept bill uploads or route payments.

Before sharing a bill anywhere

  • Redact account identifiers, barcodes, QR codes, street address and any payment reference that could be misused.
  • Never share passwords, one-time codes, bank logins, full card details, security codes or remote-access permissions.
  • Check the platform’s operator, privacy notice, terms, deletion process and real payment workflow. Ask who receives the money and whether a bill is paid directly to the provider.

Watch for people impersonating a fund or app

Pay My Billy’s own surfaced FAQ/search snippets warn about people claiming to represent the project or asking for money. Verify any contact through a first-party channel reached independently. Treat requests for an upfront “release,” processing or verification fee, gift card, cryptocurrency, password or OTP as a major warning sign. Do not send money to an individual based only on a direct message or screenshot.

If you already shared information

  1. Contact the bill provider using the number or website on a trusted statement, not a link from a stranger.
  2. Change compromised passwords and enable multifactor authentication; revoke unfamiliar sessions.
  3. Contact your bank promptly if payment credentials or financial details were exposed.
  4. Save message URLs and report impersonation to the platform; avoid reposting the scam message with personal data visible.

For real assistance, contact the bill issuer about hardship plans or extensions and use an official local-government/nonprofit directory. Read the project-status overview and source notes.
